Beet and Banana Smoothie
Makes 3-4 Kid Size Portions
Beets are a superfood and this smoothie is a superb way for your children to enjoy them. There are many reasons to introduce your kids to beets from their wonderful flavor to their many health benefits, but I find the most enticing is their gorgeous color. Even children who are more particular about the foods they consume will enjoy the vibrant purples and pinks in this drink.
Ingredients:
1 banana
1 medium-sized cooked beet (1/2 cup diced)
3 large strawberries (1 cup diced)
2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
1/4 cup vanilla almond milk
1 tablespoons frozen spinach
Make It:
In a blender, puree ingredients until smooth. Serve with a straw or freeze in a re-usable food pouch for later.
