Makes: 12 Servings

If you want a tasty treat to serve your holiday guests look no further. These Hot Chocolate Sticks are delicious, easy to make and can be wrapped and shared as a delicious gift with those you love.

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon softened butter
1 package milk chocolate chips (11.5 oz/326 g)
12 popsicle sticks
48 mini marshmallows (you can also use crushed peppermint or caramel chips as toppings)

Make It:

I begin by clearing enough room in my freezer to easily store my tray once assembled.

Grease an ice cube tray holder with a little bit of butter. Do a fine layer and avoid any clumps. Next take a microwave safe bowl and add your milk chocolate chips. Microwave in 30 second intervals until fully melted. Stir each time you microwave until the chocolate is smooth and all liquid. It took me 3 times to create the perfect consistency.

Pour the melted chocolate into the greased ice trays. It takes a little over a tablespoon to fill each one. Be sure to leave room at the top for your popsicle stick and marshmallows. Once you have divided the chocolate evenly, top with your popsicle sticks and secure the sticks by surrounding each serving with 4 marshmallows.

Set in the freezer until set (about 20 minutes). Remove gently and wrap in cellophane to gift.

Note:
Do not leave this in a warm room or near the kitchen. Like any chocolate treat they will melt if too warm. To serve them, stir them into hot milk until the chocolate melts once more and the marshmallows float to the top.
